TrueSignal BGV provides background verification services based on client instructions, role requirements, and applicable laws. The scope of services is defined in the client agreement or statement of work.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for ensuring the lawful basis for screening, providing accurate candidate information, and using verification results in accordance with applicable employment laws and internal policies.

Candidate consent requirement

Clients must obtain and document candidate consent before requesting verification. TrueSignal BGV may request proof of consent or suspend processing when consent is not properly documented.

Liability limitations

TrueSignal BGV provides services using reasonable care and diligence. We are not liable for inaccuracies in third-party records, client-provided information, or decisions made by clients based on verification reports. Liability limitations and remedies are detailed in the client agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable laws and regulations of the jurisdiction in which services are delivered, with UK-neutral wording intended to support international operations.

Updates to terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
