Telegram job alerts, explained

"Job alerts on Telegram" covers two completely different things. One is a channel broadcasting a list to thousands of people. The other builds a different result set for every person receiving it. Only the second one saves you any reading.

The two kinds

  A job channel A per-person alert
Who decides what's posted Whoever runs the channel Your profile, your rules, your resume
What subscribers receive The same list, everyone, all day A different set per person, once a morning
Filtering You scroll and decide Below 7/10 never reaches you
Repeats Constant — reposts are the content Never; each posting is remembered per person
Volume Dozens a day, often more Usually a handful; some days none
Why it exists Subscriber growth You closing the app and going back to work

Why Telegram at all

The channel isn't the product. It's just the one you read.

Job alerts by email go where every other alert goes: an unread folder, filed by a rule you wrote once and never look at. That isn't a discipline problem — it's what happens to any channel that also carries newsletters, receipts and notifications.

A Telegram message arrives as a message. It's on your phone, it's read within minutes, and it costs nothing to deliver. It also means we never have to run a mailing list, which means one less place your email address sits.

You need a free Telegram account. Linking it is one tap on a bot link during signup, and unlinking it stops the daily run.

What actually arrives

One digest each morning: the strong matches, each with its 1–10 score, the reasons it scored that way and any red flags, then a short summary line for the run.

A quiet day still reports in — silence should mean "nothing good was posted", not "something broke".

Four questions worth asking any job alert

Where do the listings come from?

If it can't tell you, it's scraping one aggregator. Ours are listed in full, including the weak spots.

Is anything filtered out?

An alert that forwards everything has moved the sorting job back to you and called it a feature.

Will I see the same role twice?

Without per-person history you will, every time it's reposted or syndicated somewhere new.

Who else sees my details?

Ask what's stored and who it's shared with. Ours is written down: no name or email in the matching profile, and no recruiter side.
